Yummy Food Here!

The food here is really, really good! Chef Cameron does great stuff! He used to be a chef under Wolfgang Puck in Vegas and at the Wynn. He's really creative and keeps all of the day's foods at or around 1200 calories. If you go over that, it's because you either ate some fruit or a salad. I usually take a banana with me on the hike as I'm starving after we hike and eat it on the way back to the ranch. I sometimes have either a salad or an apple or orange after dinner.

Here's a pic of one of our dinners: Chicken breast over Wasabi Potatoes with Asparagus with a drizzle of Carrot Sauce and a drizzle of Balasamic. For dessert we had Pineapple Sorbet. Pretty, huh?

Don't worry about the food here ... only worry about your potential blisters!!!

  1. Now about those blisters. Are the Wrightsocks not helping? Do you need anything before I head there on Sunday?

  4. That does look good. I'm a picky eater but have promised myself to eat everything. I need to broaden my food-horizons. I'm really glad that you're enjoying everything.

  5. Thank you so much for doing this blog! I love reading it! I also have a question about what clothes to bring-like do you only wear one workout outfit a day or do you change? How many swimsuits did you bring? Thanks so much and have a great time!

  6. Okay ... Robin, the socks aren't helping me and everyone else is getting blisters as well. I have Wigwam brand. I went into the gift shop here and bought a blister kit and that helped ALOT today. I also have been taping each individual toe that I've been having problems with and it's helped a lot. It helped me get through the day today! Do I need anything ... sure, a glass of chardonnay! LOL :)

  7. Emily ... You hurry between classes as you only get 10-15 minutes between classes. Regular clothes aren't seen here much. You are always in workout gear. Regular clothes are needed for Target trip and maybe on weekends. We're going bowling on Sat and Sun is free to do whatever you choose. Definitely no vanity here. You just hurry and go! :)

DeeAnn ... the food here is awesome! I absolutely hate brussel sprouts, but I ate them and they were actually good!

Kim ... it depends on how much you sweat. I wear an outfit for hiking and come back and change really quick because I'm drenched with sweat. Then I wear that workout outfit the rest of the time unless I sweat really bad, then I change it. Also bring 2 bathing suits because sometimes you get 2 pool sessions per day! It sucks to put on a wet suit!

    I hope this helps! :)
